Learning to integrate technology into classroom instruction is a process, not an end. The goal is to keep learning, experimenting and reflecting. This site is a place for me to share my education technology experiences.
As an Education Technology Specialist, I work hard to train and share technology resources with teachers. I am adding resources and information all the time to make this site as helpful as possible for the teachers with whom I work.
My career as an ed tech started as a part-time endeavor in 2009. My background in graphic design initiated this career shift and now helps define my work as a full-time ed tech. I am active in helping teachers and students to create their own websites, positive a positive online presence, and share what they are learning with others. I teach regular classes on using Web 2.0 tools in the classroom, iOS (iPad/iPod) use in the classroom, and teaching and learning online. I am part of a team of ed techs working in the Canyons School District in Sandy, Utah where my primary responsibility is working with teachers and students at Brighton High School and Jordan High School (where I taught ceramics and sculpture for 7 years.)
I have been teaching ceramics and sculpture classes at the secondary, university, and community level since 1999. In 2012, I started working as a full-time education technology specialist. I am enjoying the challenges that have come with this new opportunity.
Visit my Training Calendar page to see when I will be teaching school-wide workshops. Or, check out my Instruction Materials page for information on topics I have covered in the past or that you can work through on your own. If you have a specific need or question, you can Schedule an Appointment for me to come visit your classroom. You can also visit my blog to see what I am learning and talking about right now.
